Atlanta Women

This is my first official blog post on this site so I'm warning you in ADVANCE that I say the realness. Some of this might rub some of you the wrong way and may even cause you to hate me. Oh well! Here we go!

I'm sitting in the airport in NYC as I write this. After a trip to NY --> DR --> NY and now heading back to Atlanta I've noticed some drastic differences between women in Atlanta and NY especially. First, let me say this, Atlanta has some of the most beautiful women who are easy to talk to. You all are pretty amiable, BUT it's time to step your game up. First please understand that the standard for "thick" in the south does not persist up north. If you got dimples, stretch marks and dents all over chances are you're fat! If your size exceeds a 10 you're fat! If you wear spanks you're fat! If you can't show off your stomach you're fat! If you can't wear a two piece bikini without fat spilling all over the place you're fat! Please stop saying you're thick. Go get your BMI done and go see a doctor and I'll bet they'll tell you it's unhealthy. The gym is not an evil place. Treat it like a shrine and go there everyday to get BETTER & watch what you put in your mouths! Food was not designed to be for pleasure. You should pay attention what you put into your body. Okay, now that I've said my say about the physical aspect let's talk about the mentality.

Men don't owe you anything. The ratio is stupid in Atlanta and if you do anything of any acclaim it's only crazier. These women that are looking to be taken care of are worthless. Seriously! If you're going to the club chasing ballas, athletes, dope boys, etc. #KILLYASELF. You might find a sucker and truly come up, but the chances are slim and a man of any kind of substance does not respect you. If you want to impress a guy show him that you're an asset not a set of ass and tities.

  3. After reading this I realized that you have really showed your ignorance. First and foremost, everyone is not meant to be a size 0-8, just like men women have different builds and different body structures, no one person is shaped the same. There are plenty women over a size 10 who are healthy. Many women have curves that effect their pants size. A woman that is a size 12 may not be a size 12 because she is "fat" but because she has hips! ( Have you ever heard of hips). Also you don't have to be smaller than a size 10 to have a flat stomach. Also anyone can have stretch marks, the determination as to if you will get them has nothing to do with weight, and has more to do with genetics and the elasticity of your skin. People of any size small or large can get stretch marks, some people get them during puberty when they experience a quick growth spurt. Also having cellulite or "dimples" as you said it also has nothing to do with weight..... this also has to do with genetics. Yes many skinny women who exercise still have cellulite some mainly on the back of their thighs. While you were suggesting that people check their BMI at the Doctor if they are over a size 12, I think you should have been checking your facts first since a majority of what you posted is totally wrong. Yes if you are unhealthy you should find a healthy way to get to a healthy size for your body structure. but you don't have to be smaller than a size 10 to be considered healthy. Thank goodness most men or people in general are not as ignorant and superficial as you are. You really crossed the line with a majority of what you said in this blog. People who think like you are the reason so many of our young black females and growing youth have image issues. Also remember that a a majority of women who support your events are not a size 8 or smaller, I would be cautious in offending the people that help place money in your pocket!

  4. @ Nita everyone is entitled to an opinion ...

  5. Hmm... I was about two seconds from jumping on Nita's bandwagon until I reminded myself that you were saying that overweight women refer to themselves as "thick" and that you felt that was misleading.

HOWEVER, I do have to say that I KNOW that you could have worded this better. Calling anyone FAT in this post wasn't really called for. You opened yourself up to a great deal of misinterpretation.

Words hurt and if, as Nita says, these people put money in your pocket, you would be wise to consider how others receive your message.

  6. If my opinion determines whether people want to attend my parties that's being quite short sighted. I have nothing against anyone that's overweight. 8 months ago I was 230lbs at 5'10. I could lie to myself and say I was thick, but truth was I was fat. Nobody called me fat and I could lie to myself, but the only way you can get BETTER is to face the harsh reality and do something about it.

  7. Everyone's entitled to their opinion. And like I said, I see where the misinterpretation came in and understood what you said.

But what you do is like any other job based on public relations, you just have to watch what you say.

  8. I just really think the way you worded your first post was much to harsh and sounded like you were just out bashing people. The response you just posted was much more real and heart felt, and gave a lot more insight than your first post.

A lot of young entrepreneurs look up to you, and it doesn't come off well if it sounds like you are out bashings a group of people because of their size. You are entitled to your opinion but you should be mindful about the way you state that opinion. You can make a point without coming off as a mean guy.

  9. @Sean. I think your words may have caught some people off guard. However, I agree with a lot of what you said. I personally think this a "It-is-what-it is" situation. You could have rephrased it to sound nicer and some readers would still have a problem with it. Everyone is not going to have the same body type. However, whatever size you are you should always try to stay healthy along with keeping it sexy. And at the end of the day when it's all said and done having rolls and dimples etc... is not healthy or sexy.

  10. Since the title of the blog is "Atlanta Women" I guess I can not get upset at the fact that you haven't mentioned the mishaps of our male counterparts! The ridiculous ratio has somehow made men that previously back in their own hometown, the place where even though they grew up there, noone even knows them, has now moved to ATL and with the big city lights, made them think THEY REALLY ARE HOTT! It's all made up! Both sides play the part..men drive around flashing their "things" and then get upset when women "want it!" "hello..isn't that why you do it?!" If I came outside naked, can I get mad if someone trys to F@@# me! hell no, that's why I did it!" The point is we both have to do a better job of knowing ourselves and what's important! until then...live goes on being a video shoot!

  11. Uhhhh, everyone has gotten so sensitive over this. Fat is NOT thick, PERIOD. Get in the gym and stop crying over things Mr. Black says that EVERYONE else thinks. THE GYM is your friend! and so many Black women have a false perception that having that "extra cushion" is perfectly acceptable. NOT! Tighten up, genetics is no excuse for looking obviously lazy, because that's how sloppy fat women look to me. L-A-Z-Y.
